WakahChanNJ
Welcome to the World of Wakah Chan!
Wakah Chan is a passionate jazz-funk band gathering force in the beautiful vortex of Asbury Park NJ. They blend many different genres seamlessly in an uplifting and soulful way that is accessible to people of all walks of life.
The music is sexy yet classy, never lacking in mood and depth. If you see them on any given night, the music shifts as the interaction and energy of the crowd dictates. Close friends of many years with a strong family bond, there is a deep intimacy not found in many bands, and this connection translates into the music in a profound way. There is no figurehead, this is a project of cooperative creation where each member has a voice and brings their spirit to the table.
With a goal to bring together community and a renaissance of artistry, Wakah Chan makes strides towards the deepest of freedoms and self expression.
Come be Family!
